Last December, two new doctoral theses began at the Ebro Observatory, both of which are FPI scholarships from the 2018 call. First of all, Mª Victoria Canillas is studying the characterization of GICs in the Iberian Peninsula, under the direction of researchers J. Miquel Torta and Santi Marsal, both of them from OE, in the framework of the IBERGIC project. Secondly, Omar Cenobio is studying drought in the Iberian Peninsula, using models that take into account the impact of reservoirs, under the direction of researcher Pere Quintana (OE) and Professor Luis Garrote (UPM), in the framework of the HUMID project.
These new thesis projects are in addition to that of Jacopo Dari, already in the final phase, on the estimation of human impacts on the hydrological cycle, in co-supervision with the University of Perugia (Italy). It is also worth noting the thesis that Vicent Favà defended last September focused on the study of the SNAO climate index.
