From the Ebre Observatory we adhere to the principles of the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, which defend the promotion of the full and equal participation of women and girls in education and employment in all areas of science, avoiding any type of gender discrimination.

We would like to highlight as an example Dr. Anaïs Barella Ortiz, who since last January has rejoined us in the line of research in Hydrology and Climate Change at the Observatory ...

Her work focuses on modeling the continental water cycle, with a particular interest in the impact of climate change and anthropogenic processes. She has participated in national and international projects aimed at improving the representation of the hydrological cycle and the development of associated remote sensing products, collaborating with various research groups and international institutions such as the European Space Agency (ESA), the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC), and the French National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS). Currently, she enjoys her investigation on the impact of climate change on water resources in the Pyrenees to optimize their management and enhance their adaptation to this impact.
